LZ Lifescience is looking to recruit four Software Engineers to join their Dublin/Cork based team
The suitable Software Engineers will be involved in a joint venture company to help modify the Shopfloor-Online product for use in the life science industries and to subsequently configure solutions for the web-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application. This systems helps manufacturing companies achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, output, compliance, quality and customer satisfaction. It provides integrated real-time information from across the entire manufacturing environment. The customer base is growing quickly and each new project implementation demands that the project team quickly understand a customer’s business, their manufacturing process and operational challenges.
As part of a Dublin/Cork based team, the successful candidate will initially be trained on the latest product release for 2 weeks in the Dublin office. He/she will then commence on project work – application configuration projects. A progressive career path up either a Technical or Project Management route is possible and ability based.

Required Qualification:
- Graduate Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering
Technical Experience Desired:
- Programming Experience in C#
- Programming Experience with SQL Server database configuration, including tables, views and stored procedures
- Programming Experience with Oracle database
- HTML, XML programming and CSS
Main Responsibilities:
- Designing and configuring solutions for a Web-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application
- Writing SQL to implement complex custom reports, grids and tasks
- Developing interfaces to factory devices, databases and ERP systems
- Writing stored procedures
- Building dynamic, responsive web-solutions within the Shopfloor-Online™ Lifescience Edition product
- Writing C# interface scripts

Our Web-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application – Shopfloor-Online™ Lifescience Edition is a configurable solution that helps manufacturing companies achieves measurable improvements in efficiency, output, compliance, quality and customer satisfaction. It provides integrated real-time information from across the entire manufacturing environment.
LZ Lifescience Limited markets, sells and implements solutions using the Shopfloor-Online™ Lifescience Edition product to the extremely buoyant life science sector multi-national companies: medical device & diagnostic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing companies.
Each customer project will have design, implementation and testing phases with site specific configuration. As part of a Dublin based team, the successful candidate will initially be trained on the latest product release for 2 weeks in the Dublin office. He/she will then commence on project work – application configuration projects. Project durations vary from 3 to 6 months, so variety is inevitable!
